Biography

Meaghan Farrell is a corporate and commercial lawyer whose practice emphasizes project financing, mergers and acquisitions, banking and corporate finance, and commercial negotiations. She works across a number of industry sectors, including renewable energy, infrastructure, mining, and technology, and has experience advising clients in connection with private equity transactions, corporate finance transactions, licensing and technology-related transactions, public-private partnerships, corporate governance and securities matters. Meaghan also advises businesses on corporate compliance relating to human rights, environmental, social and corporate governance issues.

  • Represented Accenture in its acquisition of Gevity, a British Columbia-based strategy and consulting service provider focused on helping healthcare industry clients transform their businesses through innovative technology solutions
  • Represented Accenture in connection with its acquisition of Cloudworks, a leading Oracle Cloud implementation service provider across North America
  • Represented Accenture in connection with its global acquisition of N3, a business-to-business sales firm that combines specialized talent with artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities to enable smarter, more efficient sales interactions
  • Represented Accenture in connection with its global acquisition of CreativeDrive, a global, tech-driven content production company that simplifies, automates and scales the creative asset production process
  • Represented Ideal, a Toronto-based intelligence software provider, in connection with its acquisition by Ceridian

Public-Private Partnerships

  • Ottawa Stage 2 LRT Project – advised the City of Ottawa in connection with the Trillium Line Extension Project and the Confederation Line Extension Project totalling $4.66 billion in investment
  • Scarborough Subway Extension – advised STRABAG Inc. as the successful proponent to design-build and finance the $757 million Advanced Tunnel for the Scarborough Subway Extension Project
